New spell area - clones/mirrors/dobbeltganger
Hey... was reading a thread with some idea for a new profession and got some ideas myself. This is hardly enough for a new profession but could a supplement... think the most obvious is to a mesmer but really - could be to any class
The idea is to duplicate players... how exactly I dont know but Im having some ideas. Its just hard to see the ups and downs from all the angles - thats where this forum and you ppl comes in handy...
The idea is a spell can that can clone 1-8 players... try attacking 16 players - 8 with like 10 HP's
or... clone 1 player with full att/armor and same spells... with few HP or high Death Penalty - and hench AI or attack same target as who he was cloned from
perhaps... all what happends to the clone also happends to the player casting the clone... perhaps as enchantment spell with maintance
yeah I know - no diff. between - 8 players attacking 1 and 8 players attacking 2 where the dmg from 1 is transfered to the other... but with AoE spells the dmg then comes double
This should have fairly long recharge and perhaps a max numbers of clones on each team... can clones get healing? only healing themselves? or just work as minions with higher and higher degen... or should they be normal players with no degen and no time limit but just crappy armor and HP (start with high DP)
I know this would be a major thing in GW PvP... to minimize the effect the new clones could effect the allready excisting onces... with some % lower att/armor/HP... what ever
...so what do you think !?

Would they leave bodies behind??
Cause then you could own any PvE mob with this, example:
UW
-first clone like 4 times and the bodies remain there
-lure the mobs
-use putrid explosion

How about just making the class available to who ever has beaten PVE mode or something as just a static character Doppleganger in which you can choose to play as any henchman or any NPC in the game that you have slain or met. Rurik wouldn't be available until you kill him in undead form and killing Glint would be a bonus to do for sure. There'd be a limit as to what you'd be able to become and you could only team up with other dopplegangers who have set their skill bar with the one skill which is something like [Alesia] or something and when you enter you look and have all the abilities. This would all just be for fun.
